Can you be against gay marriage and not be a bigot?

Allow me to answer your question with a question: Can you fight for your rights and not be a bigot? When I voted no on Prop. 102 (basically Prop 8, but in Arizona) I did it for one reason, and that was to keep from losing my current rights. If you redefine marriage as anything other than between a man and a woman, then you will find that it will limit religions' and peoples' freedom of speech and peoples' freedom of religion lest they be sued in a court of law for intolerance. I am not willing to give up my rights to spread and teach principles of joy, even if they be just philosophically, so that a minority can feel normal in doing that which is biologically and sociologically not normal. Notice I said nothing about God. I'm merely talking about my rights, and my rights is what drove me to define marriage as between a man and a woman.
