JIHAD a basic Islamic principle?

Bin Laden is a terrorist and he is not a Muslim. Terrorist shows no mercy for every human. If all Muslim are terrorist….why Muslim nations is always the victim of these terrorist? Who really they are and who supported them to discredit Islam? Why non-Muslim always jump into a conclusion without any further examination about the situation, is that part of your religion to judge people wihtout asking them why?
