What is the best way to hide a hickey on my neck?

I've got a huge hickey on my neck. I know wearing turtleneck tops is a good way to hide it. I don't own any. Everyone that knows me knows I can't stand turtlenecks. I've been using a little make up to hide it. It don't hide it well. I'm trying to hide it with my hair. Someone told me to put toothpaste on it at night before I go to bed. It would lighten it. That didn't work. I've got a big purple hickey. How can I make it go away faster?
