Help! I just used Footlocker cleaner on part of my Nikes (which were suede) and it says don't use on suede!

Yeah, so I just bought some Nike Lebron James Zoom ST Low shoes and my brother stepped on them and part of the suede got dirty. I used the cleaner I bought on the suede and followed the instructions and I let it dry. I check back 30 minutes later and the suede has become hard. I read the bottle again and it says do not use on Suede. Help!
