Is there anyone that is aware of http://www.prosper.com?

Ok ... so the website that I have mentioned above seems too good to be true. I would like to speak with someone that has actually "borrowed" money before. Hell, I would even like to speak with a "lender." Should I trust websites of this nature? I don't know. Prior to putting myself out there . . . I would like to receive feedback about the website.
