Legal question (Ohio) I let my cousin borrow a high quality microphone (699$)?

The last time he left his house his girlfriend decided to break up with him. Last night after I had turned my phone off she sent me a text message saying that I should pick up my mic because they broke up and she put his things in the trash. That she knows it's my mic and she thought she should tell me . I woke up this morning, cut on my phone and read her text message for the 1st time. I immediately called her back and text messaged her. I left a message. A few hours later I called her from a blocked number and she answered. When I told her who I was she hung up on me. What should I do legally? I am uming since I wasn't around at the time of the text message she put my mic in the dumpster of her apartment complex. If by some weird chance it was still there it would be ruined by snow.
