Question about abortion or miscarriage?

my sister asked my mom about tthe number to the gynocologist last week - my mom gave her the number and she made an appoinment .. lately after she went she nvr got the pill cos the doctor sed she wasnt going to put her on it yet .. she went back for bloodwork to a diff doctor supposedly.. she mmissed 3 days of work and i saw a doctors note in her bag and 2 pill containers of doxycylcine and methergine - i have no idea if she was pregnant and had an abortion .. i noe tht methergine is for losss of blood after childbirth ?? y wud she have both those pills wht r they for
