Would you feel resentful towards the people in your life if...?

It would be perfectly normal to feel betrayed, and angry towards your family and friends. It might be helpful to you to talk to the ones closes to you and without laying a guilt trip one them, say "when you were telling me that I was crazy and I knew that something was wrong with me physically, that hurt me a lot and I felt angry that you were not more supportive." This way it is not just swept under the rug. You are letting them know how their behavior made you feel. And they can offer an apology if they wish. Don't fish for one. The purpose of this is to allow you to express your feeling and let them know that you were hurt. They will learn from this, and you will have your feeling validated, which is important. If it is someone that you are not really close you you might just write the person a letter, but DO NOT mail it. After writing it, tear it up and forgive them. Then get on with your life.
