And as for a comment I saw here about sperm that dies when air hits it; Sperm and the fluid that carries it are two different things....if the sperm is in the fluid that protects it than the sperm CAN indeed live for a short time outside the human body; remember, our bodies are made from oxygen and the semen that protects the sperm is made from oxygen.
